Active Ingredient Description

DMAE is a nutritional substance found in fish such as anchovies, sardines and salmon. It is used to combat sagging, reduce fine wrinkles and promote a tightening effect on the skin. It is an active ingredient that improves the general appearance of the skin, with immediate (lifting) and long-term effects. DMAE is considered a choline analogue, responsible for increasing the synthesis of acetylcholine in the central system and dermis.


As we age, nutritional precursors and chemicals that tone muscles begin to decline. A mediator that regulates muscle contractions is acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter synthesized in nerve endings from choline. Thus, DMAE works by stimulating the release of acetylcholine which, in turn, stimulates the facial muscles, causing a tightening effect on the skin. Furthermore, DMAE has a strong anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and moisturizing action, acting significantly on skin aging.


Free DMAE has an unpleasant odor characteristic of amines. The encapsulation of the active ingredient allows the reduction of odor, allowing the formulation to be perfumed with the desired fragrance. NV DMAE has anti-aging action, reduces wrinkles and promotes increased skin firmness.
